Ann McGinley is a Geelong based artist. Her process continues to explore the potential and challenge of paint to define natural space. Her work reflects her ongoing investigation of the medium primarily to render abstract images of the overlooked environment. In the past 3 years she has been using foraged road side weeds as the catalyst for painting, printing and drawing. The results are often chaotic and seek to question the tradition of botannical art.
